If politicians, sports analysts, financial experts, and similar people were evaluated regularly, as employees everywhere are, in terms of performance expectations and projections agains actual results and accuracy, we’d start to see what turnover really looks like. One year a featured network sports guy said the Patriots wouldn’t make the playoffs, and they won the Super Bowl. People in business columns and talk shows have shouted “recession” for the last decade, which was an unparalleled period of growth. I don’t think I need to say too much about politicians, whose promises melt faster than ice cubes in hot water.
Maybe these people are “too big to fail”?!
