You Need an Uber to Get to Immigration from the Plane

They thought the “mobile lounges” at Dulles Airport were state-of-the-art in the 60s but they're still in use today, scheduled to be phased out with the airport revamp. But I'm betting the new Dulles, after hundreds of millions of dollars, will still suffer from the fate of all airports: They are built for planes, not for people.

The old Concorde docked at the lounge in Heathrow, and you walked from the lounge onto the plane. That can be done. But instead, it's “easier” for people to walk two miles to immigration today than try to make airports passenger-friendly.
