Get Charlie

Get Charlie

Two technicians from Verizon couldn't solve our home phone problem in four hours. Two weeks later, a third technician solved it in 15 minutes. With a large company, you can't control the expertise, critical skills, or experience of the people assigned to help you. But large companies can pick and choose the help they need.

That's why you need to build your brand as an excellent advisor and resource. A brand is how people think of you when you're not around. I'd rather say, “Send Charlie” than allow Verizon to assign just anyone according to their convenience. But you can create a brand so that prospects and customers say, “Get Charlie” because they've heard of you.

And the strongest brand is your name, not your company name, not 27 initials after your name.
