Good News and Bad News

The first sale is to yourself.

If you have an important meeting looming with a buyer, and you’re nervous and afraid of blowing it, there’s an essential problem, and it’s not with your skill set it’s with your self-esteem.

Do you believe you can help others to improve and lead better lives and run better businesses? Is that your calling?

Or are you merely trying to make some money and you’re afraid of being “exposed” as an imposter?

If you’re out there “selling” and “taking” money you’re going to fail, or you’ll be seen as one of the shady people who run pyramid schemes and “bait and switch” operations. If you’re out there providing value and “giving” then you’ll be seen as a resource. In the former case, you want to be deceptive and you see this as an adversarial contest. In the latter, you want to be transparent and see this as a collaborative process.

All of that is up to you.
