Landing on Ice

We landed on two glaciers at Juneau, Alaska, in the rain, in a chopper, piloted by a 25-year-old who has been flying for seven years. We landed on ice patches and learned that a glacier is not at all what I thought it was. No way to get this experience and appreciation for the earth unless you’re there.
